Former senator representing Kaduna Central has hailed Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage after the singer announced she was boycotting an event in South Africa in protest to the renewed xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South African.
The former Mavin Records artiste was billed to perform at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September, but will no longer honour the event due to attacks on her compatriots.
I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.

Tiwa’s boycott is an altruistic and patriotic act.Her mode of denunciation of xenophobia sets a moral compass.Commendable!
